GENERAL
CHOOSE
Q. How many competitions can I enter?
A. You can enter as many competitions as are on the site.
Q. How do I find new competitions to enter?
A. You can go to the ‘New
Competitions’ page or browse the competitions
in the various categories listed on the left hand side of the site.
You can also opt-in to receive your own weekly E-Log each Monday straight
to your inbox, with a list of competitions which are closing soon.
Q. How do I enter a competition?
A. To enter a competition, tick the ‘Add to Complog’ checkbox and
then click on ‘Add to my CompLog’. Your selection will be displayed
in your CompLog and you can then opt to print entries out onto your postcards
when you are ready. We advise you to print out 4 entries at a time onto your
print&go postcards. Please note, that you should add your entries your
complog before moving to another page.
Q. Can I enter competitions more than once?
A. Unless it states in the competition rules that multiple entries are
acceptable, we would advise against entering more than once as your entries
may be disqualified.
Q. What if I accidentally entered a competition more than once?
A. Some competitions organisers delete multiple entries so that only one of
your entries will go into the draw. However, some are stricter and will disqualify
all of your entries if they find that you have entered on more than one occasion.
If you think you may have entered more than once and are worried about disqualification,
contact the organization running the competition.
Q. When are new competitions
added to the site?
A. New competitions will be added to the site every Monday, helping you
to win every week!
PRINT
Q. How do I print out my postcards?
A. You can either use your own regular postcards (we recommend plain postcards
measuring approximately 6” x 4”), or instead use our exclusive
print&go postcards. Simply feed them into your printer, ensuring it is
the right way up so that the printing is to the plain side. Please test on
a plain piece of paper first to ensure you know which way to feed the postcard
sheet into your printer.
Q. Why are the details on my printed print&go postcards not aligned
properly to the postcard edges?
A. Make sure the print setting "Page Scaling" is set to "None" in
the PDF print window. Any page scaling will disturb the print alignment.
Q. Why are my entry details printed sideways on the postcards?
A. Entry details are printed sideways to prevent the Royal Mail sorting machines reading the wrong address and mailing the postcard back to the sender's address.
Q. I have run out of postcards, how do I order more?
A. You can order more postcards on our supplies
pages from as little as 3p
each! Please click here to order more cards now.
TRACK
Q. How do I know which competitions I have already entered?
A. You can view all the competitions you have entered on your CompLog
page.
Q. What is the CompLog?
A. The CompLog is your own exclusive record of all the competitions you have
selected and entered. All competitions you select will automatically be stored
in your CompLog. Then, when you are ready, you can visit your CompLog, and
choose the competitions that you would like to print. For your convenience,
you can choose to view your CompLog by the date you selected the competition,
or by the closing date.
Q. What is the E-Log?
A. The E-Log is your personal weekly e-mail sent straight to your inbox every
Monday. It will contain new competitions that you have yet to enter, ensuring
that you never miss out on the chance to win!
Q. I live outside the UK. Can I still enter?
A. Most postal competitions that are run in the UK are only open to residents
of the England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Channel Islands. Check
the individual competition details for other conditions.
Q. Can I really win a prize?
A. Absolutely! Most people start comping with the same concern, but these
fears are soon lost when they receive their first prize! Most people
who do not win, may only enter 1 or 2 competitions a month because
they haven’t got time
to enter any more – which is one of the reasons why www.theprizefinderPlus.com
has been developed!
Q. How do I know if I have won?
A. In most cases, the organization running the competition will contact
you, or you may just receive a prize out of the blue!
Q. I haven't won anything? Help!
A. To increase your chances of winning, concentrate on entering competitions
which have multiple prizes.
Q. I was informed that I have won a prize but several weeks later I still
haven't received it? What should I do?
A. Send a polite email or letter to the promoter involved saying that you have
not yet received the prize and are wondering when you will receive it. If there
is no response, try to find a phone number or email address on their website
and contact them. Some companies are slow to send prizes, especially if the
prizes have been provided by another company.
GENERAL
Q. How can I make sure the promoter won’t think this is a bulk entry?
A. Bulk entries are generally franked mail, whereas your PrizefinderPLUS entry
requires you to personally affix a stamp. We also highly recommend individually
signing each of your postcards, or adding other personalization to your entry.
Q. I also like to enter online competitions – can I still use
theprizefinder site to find them?
A. Absolutely! The award winning www.theprizefinder.com site still contains
around 3,000 live online competitions at any one time, and remains UK’s
leading online competition resource!
Q. What if I am still having problems using the service?
A. No problem, just send an e-mail to webmaster@theprizefinder.com, or simply
use the contact us page click
here.
